Manager, Safety

Responsibilities:

• Manage road risk and liability assessment including;

  • Arrange traffic accident investigation and complete liability assessment within required timeframe
  • Monitor the quality and standard of accident investigation and liability assessment
  • Analyse traffic accident trends and develop and initiate strategies to address causation factors
  • Monitor the workflow and maintain accurate investigation data and records

• Monitor franchised bus accident data and preparation of detailed traffic accident data for submission to government departments;

• Monitor the handling of traffic accident appeal cases, review liability based on all available evidence and present findings to the Appeal Board;

• Manage Occupational Health and Safety including;

  • Oversee accident and incident investigations in collaboration with other stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of Health and Safety reporting to other government departments to comply with legal requirements
  • Analyse OSH incident trends and develop and initiate strategies to address causation factors
  • Ensure that the company complies with best OSH practices and legal or regulatory requirements

• Execute safety strategies and monitor safety plans to maintain consistently high safety performance across the Company; and

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• University graduate in any discipline;
• Strong spoken and written Chinese and English;
• Possession of a valid driving licence;
• Recognised safety qualification is preferred;
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience in accident/incident investigation and liability assessment, of which 7 years at supervisory level;
• Strategic and independent mind with an ability to cooperate with a range of stakeholders; and
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills.
