Manager, Security Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Security Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will lead a security engineering function focused on strengthening the organization’s defensive posture and operational resilience. You will guide a team responsible for core security tooling, threat awareness, and day-to-day security operations. This position also partners closely with auditors and regulators to support oversight activities and maintain strong security governance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $145,000 – $181,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Security Engineering team, driving their development.
• Implement and manage the security tool stack including WAF, EDR, and vulnerability scanning.
• Ensure uptime of security tools and oversee operational processes.
• Research and maintain knowledge of security best practices and emerging threats.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to track the performance and effectiveness of security engineering efforts.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during oversight activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in Information Security.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven security leadership and management capabilities.
• Possession of Cyber Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or GCIH.
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts and risk management.
