Manager, Social Publishing Weber Shandwick is looking for a Manager, Social Publishing to join our team in Detroit to work on an automotive client. We are seeking someone with a foundation in social media, an ability to adapt to an automotive environment through previous client experiences. The ideal candidate loves the ever-evolving world of social, can help manage the clients and teams and is interested in contributing within our client’s communities. Familiarity with current social platform capabilities, best practices and trends are a must. Our team is curious, creative and constantly seeking opportunities to leverage cultural engagement.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to be adaptable on the fly, and picking up the overall process for how content comes to life. This person will be a key point of contact and communication for clients, internal teams and agency partners for all content/asset needs, starting from the early ideation stages to asset strategy, integration across teams and platforms, asset delivery and more. This person must be willing to dive into social and assist with publishing, community management, and more.

This is not a Project Manager role, however those skills are required to effectively manage the processes that help content go live. This Manager will need to effectively review feedback and understand what questions to bring to clients and our internal team to ensure the right content goes live.

Responsibilities

• Track status of account activities and take a lead role in proactively sharing updates with clients
• Be an active participant in client meetings
• Assist in ongoing tracking of content being routed and shared
• Work with the community management team on best practices and identifying proactive responses
• Help monitor the channels for community management opportunities
• Identify trends and proactive moments for the brand to participate in through community management or content
• Educate clients on the latest happenings in social media
• QA all posts going on social channels
• Help facilitate assets and keep organized the paid ecosystem

Basic Qualifications

• BA or BS in communications or related field
• 2-4 years of related communications experience
• An understanding of how to post on social media
• The ability to learn and utilize a suite of social media publishing tools
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; applicant must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and interdependently across a diverse organization, but can also take direction
• Interest in growing knowledge of the Automotive industry, its new challenges and developments and how that resonates with Consumers
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes
• Willingness to learn the automotive industry; and specific audiences within including luxury, truck, and EV audiences
• Ability to think critically about account work, ask questions as needed and effectively solve problems
• Exceptional judgment when working with team members, client contacts and partners
• Be a strong hands-on, rubber-meets-road type that can organize projects and operate multi-faceted programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal team members across multiple levels
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrates ability to interact with senior level clients
• Experience with paid social a plus
• A willingness to learn, utilize, and educate with AI

Skills/Platforms

• Microsoft Office (experience supporting the development of presentations)
• Social media platforms and community management tools including but not limited to Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, Khoros, Opal

$70,000 - $80,000 USD
