Manager - Supplier Development

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Product Development, R&D, Marketing, QA, and Operations teams to identify and source ingredients, packaging, and products required for new product launches.
• Lead supplier selection and qualification activities to support new menu development, product innovation, and business expansion.
• Engage suppliers early in the product development process to identify alternative materials, innovative solutions, and cost-effective product designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve product specifications, functionality, quality, and commercial viability.
• Ensure timely sourcing support and product readiness to meet launch timelines and commercialization targets.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies across food ingredients, food products, packaging, and operational supplies.
• Build strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enhance competitiveness, innovation, service level, and supply flexibility.
• Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, technologies, and geographical footprint to support business growth.
• Lead supplier capability development programs to improve performance, quality, responsiveness, and productivity.

Contingency Supplier & Risk Management

• Develop and maintain a robust contingency supplier program for critical materials and product categories.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard alternative suppliers to minimize business disruption risks.
• Conduct supply risk assessments covering capacity, geopolitical exposure, raw material availability, logistics constraints, and financial stability.
• Establish business continuity plans and dual-sourcing strategies for key products and ingredients.
• Monitor global supply market trends and proactively recommend mitigation plans for supply shortages and cost volatility.

Cost Saving & Value Engineering

• Lead annual cost optimization and productivity initiatives across all sourcing categories.
• Drive cost-saving projects through supplier negotiations, value engineering, material substitution, specification optimization, and supply chain efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maintaining product quality and customer experience.
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop sustainable savings pipelines and track realized benefits.
• Deliver annual savings targets and support margin improvement objectives.

Commercial & Supplier Relationship Management

• Lead commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, and strategic sourcing projects.
• Establish Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs with strategic partners.
• Conduct regular supplier business reviews to ensure alignment on performance, innovation, cost, and business objectives.

Job Specifications:

Qualification:

• Strong leadership skills and strategic thinking ability.
• Strong experience in corporate management, strategic supply chain and supply chain execution.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices and procedures preferred, as well as experience with supply system.
• Strong project management and execution skill.
• Good command of English and computer literacy.

Education:

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology or related fields.
