Manager - Traffic Planning

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and oversee aircraft allocation and utilization in alignment with the seasonal flight schedule, business plan, fleet availability, and maintenance plan, taking into account route requirements, flight distance, operational constraints, and aircraft capabilities to ensure optimal aircraft utilization.
2. Oversee, review, and assess flight schedule adjustments more than 72 hours in advance (from the fourth day following the current date onward) to ensure alignment with aircraft availability, maintenance plans, operational constraints, and applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
3. Analyze and assess operational feasibility for new routes or airports, frequency increases or reductions, and schedule changes, taking into consideration the impact on aircraft allocation, aircraft utilization, capacity, and aircraft rotation.
4. Coordinate with relevant internal and external parties to support flight schedule planning and adjustments, aircraft allocation, maintenance planning, and the effective management of operational constraints.
5. Oversee the accuracy and completeness of flight schedule data, including SSIM (Standard Schedules Information Manual), Daily Aircraft Assignment (DAA), and schedule information distributed to relevant systems and stakeholders.
6. Analyze, monitor, and report aircraft utilization, schedule changes, operational constraints, and potential risks affecting operations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions or schedule adjustments to management to support effective decision-making.
7. Oversee the preparation and submission of Traffic Planning and relevant operational reports and information to internal departments, external organizations, and regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable requirements and established timelines.
8. Manage, supervise, assign, monitor, and develop the Traffic Planning team to ensure performance in line with departmental objectives, standards, and policies, while supporting effective cross-functional coordination and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in related fields.
2. Minimum 10 years of work experience.
3. Proficient in flight schedule planning and adjustment to maximize aircraft utilization.
4. Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards established by ICAO, IATA, and CAAT.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to select the appropriate aircraft based on specified conditions and requirements.
6. Knowledge and experience in relevant airline systems and business management, including Schedule Manager, AFTN, Sabre Native, Airline Business Management, and Project Management.
7. Having a valid FOO License is an advantage.
8. Minimum TOEIC score of 650, with good English communication skills.
