Manager - Treasury Operations

Overview Of The Role:

• As the Manager of Treasury Operations, you will support the Al Futtaim Global Treasury Centre and various business units through efficient management of liquidity, loans, forex operations, and ensuring the smooth execution of treasury payments. You play a vital role in implementing Treasury projects that enhance productivity and mitigate risk. You will also contribute significantly to all stages of Treasury projects, serving as a liaison with the Global Treasury Centre, business finance, and banking partners. Success in this role is characterized by timely and accurate execution of treasury transactions, continuous process improvement, and strategic project involvement.

What You Will Do:

Liquidity Management

• Prepare daily liquidity reports for all the Group's bank accounts and Treasury exposures.
• Verify all transfer letters manually/online in a timely manner to manage funds effectively.
• Execute Treasury payments smoothly to ensure accurate reporting of exposures.

Loan and Deposit Operations

• Support GTC with necessary reporting related to the Group's loan portfolio.
• Prepare drawdown, settlement, rollover, and pre-settlement request letters timely, either manually/online.
• Submit deposit placement requests to banks and ensure receipt and matching of bank confirmations.
• Update loan schedules timely and prepare loan requests to banks ensuring loans are received/repaid.

Inter Company Loans

• Control inter-company loans between entities in the Group and reconcile these loans.
• Fix interest on all loans and revaluate inter-company loans.
• Submit audit requests and close out all required loans related to projects.
• Address and resolve queries and accounting issues related to inter-company loans.
• Timely review and share internal reports, ensuring audit compliance with PwC's requirements.

Forex and Derivatives

• Confirm and settle Forex after reviewing bank confirmations.
• Accurate completion of confirmation matching and settlement processes.

Accounting & Audit

• Account for all treasury-related transactions (Loans, Liquidity, Forex, etc.) through SAP TRM/ERP.
• Ensure timely closure of month-end activities including reconciliations and schedule preparations.
• Post all accounting journals for treasury transactions accurately and on time.

Treasury Projects

• Support Senior Manager Treasury Operations in identifying and implementing productivity improvements and risk mitigation.
• Participate in strategic initiatives like In-House banking/cash pooling, SAP TRM rollouts, SWIFT rollouts, and online banking upgrades.
• Contribute to testing and training strategies and process documentation such as SOPs.
• Ensure participation in project workshops and review solution design documentation.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Master's degree in commerce.
• Minimum five years of experience within Treasury function of medium to large organizations or banks.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and process-oriented skills.
• Good communication skills and exposure to ERP systems.
• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-motivation and team collaboration.
