Manager - Visual Merchandiser

Role & responsibilities

1. Display and Design guidelines and execution

• Design standardized product displays, end caps, demo zones, accessory walls, fixtures, for different categories
• Define and codify display guidelines across categories
• Build brand zones / SOH design and bring standardization in size, look and feel to ensure consistency across stores and coherence within a store, while providing certain flexibility for meeting manufacturer brand guidelines
• Define / Design various zones, like demo and experience zones, use of aisles
• Bring value engineering thinking to ensure cost efficiency on props / fixtures

2. Campaigns and product launches

• Plan and roll out floor changes for different occasions

ii. Season specific

iii. New product launches

• Bring freshness in visual merchandising, that can improve discovery and consideration
• Partner with marketing to ensure that the marketing collaterals / signages for any such changes
• Plan any resets in a way that minimizes any floor disruption
• Provide governance mechanism for changes recommended by stores to ensure adherence to overall guidelines
• 3. Ongoing improvements
• Try controlled experiments across categories to identify improvement opportunities that can be rolled out after assessing impact
• Conduct regular store visits to audit visual standards, adherence to guidelines, etc. to improve compliance
• Contribute in creating training and coaching material for store staff
• Track display performance and share insights on what is driving customer engagement and sales lift

Preferred candidate profile

• Background in design and visual merchandising is essential

• Experience / understanding of displays and brand partnerships related to visual merchandising

• Familiarity of electronics category
