Manager - Warehouse

Role & responsibilities

• Manage receipt, inspection, storage and issue of Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Intermediates and Finished Goods as per SOPs.
• Prepare GAR/GRN, coordinate QC sampling, material labelling, weighing and documentation.
• Maintain warehouse records, logbooks, inventory reconciliation and label records.
• Manage SAP transactions, stock verification and monitoring of slow/non-moving materials.
• Ensure proper handling of solvents, hazardous materials, engineering/project stores and spares.
• Coordinate finished goods dispatch, logistics and transporter activities.
• Ensure GMP/GDP compliance and readiness for regulatory and customer audits.
• Handle Excise, Prohibition, Narcotics, Petroleum and Poison Act requirements and statutory records.
• Prepare/review SOPs and conduct training for warehouse personnel.
• Manage change control, deviations, CAPA and incident investigations.
• Ensure warehouse safety, housekeeping, fixed-asset reconciliation and effective utilization of manpower.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of GMP/GDP norms for pharma, biotech, and premix products
• Regulatory and audit preparedness (USFDA, WHO, EDQM, FSSAI, etc.)
• Leadership and team development
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration across functions
• High attention to documentation and compliance detail

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, or related field. Additional qualifications in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred.

Experience: 10+ years in a regulated pharma/API/biotech manufacturing environment.

Important: Candidates without hands-on API manufacturing plant experience will not be considered.
