Salary Expectations: $120,000 - $180,000 + bonus

Piper Maddox have been assigned to a leading US electrical transmission company as they continue to scale their investment team. The primary responsibilities include creating and maintaining project financial models, conducting due diligence, and building and updating corporate financial models. The Manager/Senior Associate will also support the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of complex project finance models for electric transmission projects on the Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help commercialize and support acquisitions for utility-scale energy infrastructure projects across multiple states.

What you will do:

• Lead underwriting and financial modeling for utility-scale investments, including acquisition and development
• Support the evaluation and execution of prospective investments through financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and participation in deal structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution
• Support debt and tax credit financing transactions through financial modeling and due diligence coordination
• Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda and board materials supporting utility-scale transmission projects and M&A investment approvals

What you will have:

• Hands on experience in structured financing/investment opportunities within renewable energy
• 2–6+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy project finance, utilities investment banking, infrastructure private equity, M&A, financial modeling, or other transaction-heavy finance environments
• Strong financial modeling experience and quantitative experience required, ability to create financial models from scratch and distill complex analyses into clear conclusions
