  • Serve as Scrum Master and delivery lead where required, organising, facilitating and ensuring the effectiveness of all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to define, refine and prioritise epics, features and user stories, ensuring development teams have a clear and actionable backlog.
  • Track sprint goals, team velocity, burn-down metrics, dependencies and delivery risks, taking proactive actions to maintain delivery momentum and predictability.
  • Remove impediments and facilitate resolution of issues that may impact software delivery.
  • Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders, product owners, vendors and software engineering teams.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables and work packages for engineering teams.
  • Work closely with software architects and engineers to evaluate solution designs, implementation approaches, technical risks and trade-offs.
  • Coordinate internal and external engineering resources to ensure effective delivery and resource utilisation.
  • Monitor project health, identify risks and dependencies, and drive timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular updates on project status, key decisions, risks and milestones.
  • Oversee project governance, documentation, procurement activities and vendor performance where applicable.
  • Ensure software solutions comply with cybersecurity, architecture, operational and organisational requirements.
  • Foster collaboration between multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data professionals and business users.
  • Support tender and procurement activities, including requirements definition, technical evaluations and vendor engagements.

[What we are looking for]

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in software delivery, digital transformation, product delivery or technology programme management.

  • Proven track record of leading software development projects from concept through delivery and operations.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies and modern engineering practices.

  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile software delivery teams using Scrum methodologies.

  • Proven experience facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, cycle time and release planning.

  • Able to engage confidently with software engineers, solution architects and technical specialists on system design, architecture, integration and delivery considerations.

  • Experience managing vendors, system integrators and multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, enterprise software systems and modern application architectures.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve issues and drive delivery in complex project environments.
