Managing Director | Melbourne | $350k Package + bonus | Electrical Manufacturing  

Lead an established Australian business into its next phase of growth, backed by a listed, global manufacturer.

The opportunity Our client is the local division of a large ($1bn+) publicly listed manufacturer of electrical products and components supplied into a variety of highly regulated customer segments including medical devices, energy infrastructure and defence.

In this full P&L leadership and customer facing role, you will report offshore to the Vice President with a clear focus on:

• Developing a robust strategic plan that will see year on year profitable growth
• Work with the sales, marketing and engineering teams to enable product innovation and diversification of customers
• Build new business pipeline focusing on regulated industries such as defence and aerospace
• Improve plant consistency, productivity and operational performance
• Shape capital investment plan to support future growth
• Work closely with global procurement and supply chain team to manage materials supply and cost
• Develop leaders and build shared accountability across all functions of the business including production, quality, sales, finance, engineering, IT and supply chain

About you You are a highly commercial MD or CEO with experience growing a complex B2B manufacturing organisation. Our client will also consider candidates who might be stepping up from an EGM, COO or GM role. You will bring significant customer credibility, operational discipline and have exceptional leadership capability with a strong coaching style. Experience in electronics or electrical manufacturing is highly valuable. OEM experience or exposure to defence, medical devices, medtech or aerospace customers will also be highly regarded. Based in Melbourne, the role offers relocation support, STI and the prospect of LTI.
