Managing Director

Overview:

A confidential, established engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Business Leader to guide the strategic growth of its Atlanta-area operations. This leader will set market strategy, develop senior client relationships across data centers, energy, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure, strengthen revenue and profitability, build a high-performing team, and maintain overall accountability for the business unit rather than serving as the primary lead for individual project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and execute growth strategy across data centers, energy, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure markets.
• Build and own senior relationships with utilities, hyperscale and data center developers, and major EPC/GC firms active in the Southeast.
• Lead business development and originate large-scale infrastructure and utility engagements.
• Recruit, develop, and manage technical and client-facing talent aligned to the new sector focus.
• Own P&L performance and operational accountability for the Atlanta BU.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in utility, EPC, or large-scale energy/infrastructure leadership.
• Demonstrated relationships with utilities, hyperscalers, or major EPC/GC firms.
• PE license or equivalent technical credibility strongly preferred.
• Proven business development track record in infrastructure/utility/industrial markets.
• Prior P&L or business-unit leadership experience, ideally including a turnaround or scale-up.
• Familiarity with the Southeast utility and regulatory landscape preferred.
