Managing Engineer, Software Engineering -Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Engineer, Software Engineering -Remote to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will guide software engineering efforts that shape scalable, high-quality products across modern and legacy environments. You will partner closely with product, architecture, and engineering peers to improve technical execution, strengthen team practices, and support alignment across multiple product areas. The position calls for hands-on leadership in designing solutions, elevating engineering standards, and helping teams deliver reliable business outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $193,725 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead knowledge sharing to enhance team and organizational engineering practices.
• Design, build, and enhance software products.
• Implement testing strategies to validate acceptance criteria.
• Promote pair programming and test-driven development (TDD).
• Collaborate on system and application design for effective technical solutions.
• Facilitate iteration planning and ensure clarity on backlog stories.
• Guide the team in technical leadership and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or product engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x+.
• Expertise in JVM and Application Performance Architecture/Management.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like ReactJS/AngularJS/Typescript.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems, preferably Kafka.
• Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and on-premises systems.
• CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
