What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning outcomes
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain comprehensive records
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mandarin curriculum
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and methodologies in language education

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mandarin language, linguistics, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Mandarin in a secondary school or equivalent setting
• Strong command of the Mandarin language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds
• Proven track record of developing and implementing engaging, student-centred lesson plans
• Proficient in using technology and digital resources to enhance the learning experience
