We are partnered with a leading Irish engineering contractor delivering technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland.

With a strong pipeline of opportunities across the Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom, Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics sectors, the business is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Bid Manager to strengthen its preconstruction function in Dublin.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E professional to take ownership of the bid process across a portfolio of technically demanding projects.

Working closely with Estimating, Commercial, Design, Engineering and Operations teams, you'll lead bids from initial enquiry through to tender submission, clarification and successful handover to the delivery team.

The position requires someone who understands the technical and commercial complexities associated with major M&E packages and can bring together multiple disciplines to produce compelling, commercially robust submissions.

The Projects

You'll lead bids for major technically complex facilities across Ireland, including:

• Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
• Cleanrooms and controlled environments
• Advanced manufacturing facilities
• Logistics and distribution centres
• Large-scale industrial developments
• Other technically complex M&E projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end M&E bid process from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
• Develop bid strategies alongside senior management and preconstruction teams.
• Coordinate input from Estimating, Commercial, Design, Engineering and Operations.
• Review tender documentation, employer requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify commercial and technical risks and opportunities during the tender process.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supply chain engagement.
• Lead value engineering exercises and identify alternative technical solutions.
• Manage bid programmes, ensuring key deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
• Prepare and coordinate high-quality tender submissions and client presentations.
• Participate in post-tender interviews, clarifications and commercial negotiations.
• Ensure a structured handover of successful bids into project delivery.
• Develop and improve bid processes, procedures and best practice across the business.

Required Experience & Background

• Proven experience as an M&E Bid Manager, Preconstruction Manager, Senior Estimator or senior M&E professional with significant tender experience.
• Strong background within mechanical and electrical contracting.
• Experience bidding or delivering technically complex projects within Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom, Advanced Manufacturing, Logistics or Industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of M&E design, procurement, estimating and project delivery.
• Ability to interpret complex tender documentation and identify commercial and technical risk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams through competitive tender processes.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Excellent organisational and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and competing deadlines.
• Strong client-facing skills with the confidence to participate in tender interviews and negotiations.
