M&E COORDINATOR

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated M&E Coordinator to join our engineering team at Wawasan Ehsan Jaya Sdn. Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Klang, Selangor. As an M&E Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the mechanical and electrical engineering operations of our organisation. You will be responsible for coordinating various M&E projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules and safety standards. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and quality of our engineering projects and directly contributes to the success of our company's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor mechanical and electrical project activities to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Liaise between project teams, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure effective communication and project continuity
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards
• Support the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities and project quotations
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, material deliveries, and equipment installations
• Assist in scheduling and coordination of equipment procurement and logistics
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on all project activities
• Prepare progress reports and present findings to project managers and senior stakeholders
• Support the resolution of site issues and technical queries in collaboration with engineering teams

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an M&E coordination or project support role within the construction or engineering sector
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building services and technical specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and project management software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation
• Familiarity with Malaysian building codes, standards and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Valid driving licence and willingness to conduct site visits as required
