M&E Coordinator

Core Responsibilities

Liaise and coordinate M&E design and installation matters between client, consultants, BIM team, technical team, site team, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.

Collaborate with Project Team members to develop schedules and construction plans.

Plan, prepare and submit M&E shop drawings, material samples, ensure compliance with contractual requirements and timely approval for construction

Coordinate M&E design information across multiple discipline and trades to identify clashes and raise them for resolution.

Ensure M&E design and works meet local building codes, regulations and safety standards.

Manage consultant/client’s site verification and approval of design intent / installation method.

Prepare, monitor and maintain M&E documentation for approvals, tests and inspections.

Manage design changes, identify and highlight potential cost discrepancies resulting from consultant responses or vendor proposals for follow up actions.

Conduct site inspections to monitor M&E installation progress, workmanship and check installation aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

Resolve on site M&E conflicts and installation issues flagged during construction.

Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning, including rectification of defects.

Support preparation, updating and verification of as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover documentation.

Identify M&E coordination risks and escalate significant issues to the Project Manager.
