M&E Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented M&E Coordinator to coordinate and monitor mechanical and electrical works at construction sites. The successful candidate will ensure that M&E installations are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works at project sites to ensure smooth execution
• Review and check construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams regarding M&E coordination matters
• Coordinate M&E installations with architectural and structural works to prevent clashes and construction conflicts
• Monitor subcontractors' daily work progress and ensure installations follow approved drawings and project schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety and technical requirements
• Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings and progress meetings
• Identify and report technical issues, discrepancies and site coordination problems to the Project Manager
• Assist in preparing site progress reports, inspection records and other relevant M&E documentation
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and assist with project handover

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in M&E coordination or construction-related projects
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret M&E construction drawings and technical specifications
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and cooperate effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project teams
• Willing to work on-site and attend project meetings when required
