Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced M&E Coordinator / Engineer to support the successful delivery of M&E works for an industrial project. The role will be responsible for coordinating mechanical and electrical services, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure works are completed according to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise M&E works on site, including mechanical and electrical services.
• Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and civil works to avoid clashes and site delays.
• Review and coordinate M&E shop drawings, construction drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Monitor M&E installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety and quality requirements.
• Attend regular site coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding technical/site issues.
• Coordinate with M&E subcontractors and monitor their progress against the project schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure M&E works are properly installed and completed.
• Assist with testing & commissioning, inspection, and handover of M&E systems.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, consultants and project stakeholders where required.
• Identify potential site clashes, technical issues and programme risks, and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on RFI, technical submissions, inspection requests and related M&E documentation.
• Monitor material delivery and ensure materials are available according to the construction programme.
• Support project management team in tracking M&E progress, quality and completion.
• Ensure all M&E works are carried out in accordance with WSH requirements and site safety procedures.
• Perform other M&E coordination duties as assigned by the Project Manager / M&E Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, M&E Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant M&E experience in construction, preferably with a Main Contractor / A1 contractor.
• Experience in industrial, factory, warehouse, data centre or other large-scale building projects will be an advantage.
• Strong experience in M&E site coordination and subcontractor management.
• Able to read and understand M&E drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Familiar with M&E installation, testing & commissioning and site coordination processes.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices and relevant statutory requirements.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors and authorities.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Willing to work 5.5 days per week / alternative Saturday, depending on project requirements.
