M&E Engineer / Coordinator

Job Description

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at site to ensure smooth execution and timely completion.
• Plan and coordinate M&E works with Civil & Structural (C&S), Architectural, and other relevant parties to ensure proper site coordination.
• Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on M&E-related matters.
• Attend project and coordination meetings, prepare meeting minutes and follow up on the required actions.
• Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning, and handover of M&E works.
• Monitor and follow up on site issues, non-conformities, and coordination matters with relevant subcontractors and parties.
• Prepare and maintain M&E progress reports, site diaries, correspondence, and other relevant project documentation.
• Verify subcontractors’ monthly progress claims based on actual work completed.
• Coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings and relevant documents for project handover.
• Carry out other duties and assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Relevant working experience in M&E coordination or site supervision, preferably within the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of M&E construction works, drawings, specifications, and testing & commissioning processes.
• Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
• Prior experience in high-rise residential construction projects will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a site environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Suitable candidates may be considered for the M&E Supervisor position based on their qualifications and experience.
