M&E Estimation Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimation Manager to join our team at THAI SHIMIZU CO., LTD.' in the heart of Sathorn, Bangkok. As an M&E Estimation Manager, you will be responsible for leading the estimation of tender/bidding process for mechanical and electrical systems in our construction projects. This is a full-time position based in our Bangkok office.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects
2. Analysing technical specifications, drawings, and other project documents to determine material and labour requirements
3. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
4. Staying up-to-date with market prices, industry trends, and new construction technologies
5. Mentoring and training junior estimators to develop their skills
6. Reviewing and approving all M&E estimates for project bids and proposals
7. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing process improvements

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 8 years of experience in M&E cost estimation, preferably in the construction industry
2. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, construction materials, and labour requirements
3. Proficient in using estimation software and tools, such as Excel, Project, and specialised estimating software
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify cost-saving opportunities
5. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
6. Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
