M&E Manager

Job Responsibilities

• The M&E Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of Mechanical & Electrical works for commercial interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate M&E works including ACMV, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection and related building services.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications and site requirements before commencement of works.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, designers, QS, QP/PE, landlords, consultants and M&E subcontractors.
• Identify clashes between M&E services, architectural works and other trades and provide practical site solutions.
• Coordinate M&E submissions, approvals, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Manage M&E subcontractors and ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship, safety and completion schedules.
• Attend site and technical coordination meetings when required.
• Review subcontractor quotations, variation works and M&E-related costs together with the QS/Project team.
• Troubleshoot M&E issues during construction and after project handover.
• Ensure proper testing, commissioning, documentation and handover of M&E systems.
• Support multiple commercial fit-out projects where required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E experience.
• Commercial interior fit-out / renovation experience in Singapore is strongly preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of ACMV, electrical, plumbing & sanitary systems.
• Familiar with Singapore building requirements, landlord requirements and relevant authority submissions.
• Able to read and review M&E drawings and coordinate services with architectural drawings.
• Good understanding of site installation methods, testing and commissioning.
• Strong coordination, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage M&E subcontractors independently and work closely with Project Managers.
• Willing to attend site works, including night works when required for retail/commercial projects.
• Experience in retail, F&B, office or shopping mall fit-out projects will be an advantage.
