Manual QA Tester

Job Summary

The Manual QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of systems and deliverables by reviewing requirements, preparing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, validating fixes, and collaborating with business, development, and project teams. The role also supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release activities while ensuring adherence to quality standards and helping minimize production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and potential issues.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on project requirements.
• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Conduct API testing to validate functionality, data, responses, and integrations. Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are properly resolved before release.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support UAT activities and assist business users during testing.
• Prepare test results, quality reports, and other QA documentation.
• Participate in release readiness activities and help ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience in API Testing.
• Experience in creating and executing test cases and test plans.
• Experience in defect identification, documentation, tracking, and retesting.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
