Manual Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, review, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for System, Integration, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements against business expectations.
• Perform Salesforce functional testing and validate CRM workflows.
• Conduct API testing using Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger.
• Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
• Validate DWH data flows, mappings, and transformations.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Log, track, and retest defects using Jira or similar defect management tools.
• Manage and maintain test data required for execution across environments.
• Create and maintain regression test suites.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Provide testing inputs for automation opportunities and support automation initiatives.
• Conduct peer reviews of test cases, test scripts, and testing deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with testing standards, processes, and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of experience in Manual Testing, Salesforce Testing, API Testing, or Data Warehouse Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL, database testing, and data validation.
• Experience testing Salesforce CRM applications and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira for defect and test management.
• Exposure to Automotive After-Sales processes is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Self-driven professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within global teams.
