Manual Tester

Role Overview

Our client, a well known banking institution in Luxembourg is searching for a Manual Tester to join them on a consulting basis, initially for 6 months.

The selected consultant will support the delivery of IT projects by performing manual testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. The role will focus on validating system functionality, ensuring that business requirements are met, and maintaining the overall quality and reliability of software solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and functional specifications to define test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare and execute manual functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Validate system integrations, data flows, and data integrity across applications.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users throughout the testing process.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development and business teams.
• Maintain test documentation, execution evidence, and defect logs.
• Monitor testing progress, report results, and proactively raise risks, issues, and blockers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Manual Tester, QA Analyst, or Software Test Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and UAT.
• Experience preparing test cases, executing tests, and managing defects.
• Experience testing system integrations and validating data flows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or structured project environments.
• French & English speaking required

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in complex IT projects or enterprise application environments.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and investigation.
• Experience supporting UAT and production release activities.
