• Own end-to-end strategic manufacturing engineering delivery This role takes full accountability to plan, coordinate and track all Business Area-level manufacturing engineering activities, ensuring every initiative aligns with long-term operational strategy.
• Lead comprehensive production system optimization Drive the full implementation of integrated production concepts, covering process flow refinement, standardized machine specification development and lean facility layout adjustment to lift overall operational efficiency.
• Roll out Group-level strategic initiatives across all sites Direct and support the execution of Group sector projects at every Business Area location, with dedicated focus on automation and digitalization programs that build sustainable competitive advantage.
• Deliver systematic cost reduction and operational excellence Lead cross-site cost improvement initiatives across the entire Business Area, and promote the standardized, full-scale rollout of Best of Best (BoB) practices to unify global operational excellence benchmarks.
• Boost plant performance through data-driven improvement Optimize overall plant utilization rates, and deliver continuous efficiency and throughput growth based on in-depth data analysis and targeted process refinement.
• Maximize productivity via layout and workflow upgrade Oversee the full cycle of facility layout adjustment and workflow reengineering, to unlock maximum productivity and lift overall operational performance across all manufacturing plants.
• Unify cross-site maintenance management system Establish and drive Business Area-wide unified maintenance initiatives, to harmonize and upgrade maintenance processes and routines across every plant, ensuring consistent equipment reliability.
• Deliver strategic projects within budget and compliance Support the full execution of strategic manufacturing projects strictly within the predefined Business Area investment budget, making sure all deliverables fully align with organizational targets and financial requirements. Qualifications
• Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Electrical / Automation Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Long-term hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, process design and equipment development, preferably within rubber or elastomer processing industry.
• Proven expertise in at least one core rubber manufacturing domain: Mixing & Compounding, Fluid Handling (Hoses), Conveying Solutions (Belts).
• Solid working knowledge of industrial machinery, tooling and production equipment widely used in rubber processing.
• Experience in developing, reviewing and approving machine specifications for CAPEX procurement projects.
• Proven capability in CAPEX investment evaluation and ROI calculation for manufacturing equipment and production line upgrades.
• Fluent in English for global cross-functional collaboration, with 30%–40% travel across APAC manufacturing sites.
