Manufacturing Casting Production Operator

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate equipment, machinery and use power and hand tools to help in the manufacturing of aluminum castings.

Relevant experience helpful but will train in all aspects of foundry operation. Employees of QCast Aluminum are provided the opportunity to learn and develop new skills to reach their full potential.

This is a first shift hourly position (Monday-Thurs 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, Friday 6:00am-2:30 p.m. Candidates must be flexible, as production dictates scheduled overtime as required including Saturday. Candidates must be capable of working in high heat, heavy production manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
• Adhere to attendance policy
• Ability to lift up 80 pounds repeatedly, and 100 lbs occasionally with assistance
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization
• Ability to read and comprehend job procedures and training documentation
• Will be exposed to loud noises, dust, and heat
• Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and grabbing
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Strong work ethic and teamwork attitude

Hourly rate subject to increase after review in 90 days. $1000.00 sign on bonus. $250 at 60 days, $250 at 6 months and $500 at 1 year.

Summary

As a Casting Production Operator, you will be integral to crafting exceptional products, and ensuring efficient operation within the foundry environment. Becoming the heart and soul of our foundry operations as you assist in the casting of aluminum parts. Jobs include operating tools and equipment used in the casting process including using hand and power tools, along with forklift operation, will enhance productivity and safety in the manufacturing facility.
