About the Role

As a Manufacturing Cost Analyst (also known as Production Estimator, Quoting Specialist), you will play a pivotal role in driving profitability by accurately forecasting project timelines and delivery schedules. You will serve as the bridge between client requirements and internal production capabilities, ensuring that every quote aligns with our operational standards and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise cost estimates for custom manufactured components to ensure target profit margins.
• Collaborate directly with clients to translate project needs into actionable production specifications.
• Manage the selection and coordination of external vendors to fulfill specialized project requirements.
• Utilize E2 management software to maintain accurate job tracking and data integrity.
• Perform post-project analysis on completed jobs to refine future estimating accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all project milestones meet strict customer delivery deadlines and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and computer literacy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently with high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective customer and vendor communication.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience in optimizing production workflows to reduce waste and improve output.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform occasional physical tasks as required by the shop environment.
