Manufacturing Engineer (1156904)

Location: New York City, NY

Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually

Description We are seeking a hands-on Plant Engineer to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and continuous operation of a food manufacturing facility in Bronx, NY. This role requires a strong technical background in both mechanical and electrical systems, along with the leadership ability to manage maintenance personnel and troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance and engineering support throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain, optimize, and support packaging and production equipment.
• Identify and resolve equipment failures and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Lead and manage a team of mechanics and maintenance personnel.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Utilize computer-based maintenance systems and other software tools to track repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
• Extensive experience with mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining packaging machinery and production equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Proven ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing maintenance personnel.
• Strong computer skills, including maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be a hands-on engineer willing to actively work on equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work a mandatory Monday-Saturday schedule.
• Must be available for Saturday work, which is compensated in addition to base salary.

• Starting salary:$90,000-$100,000+ annually
