Manufacturing Engineer

Basic Job Functions:

Support the new machine installation and qualification , troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, identity and/or implement system improvement that contributes to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize the production metrics including the product yield , equipment efficiency, product on time delivery.
• Develop and continuously optimize manufacturing processes to maximize product performance and cost-efficiency
• Define process specifications, control plans, and qualification strategies from low-volume engineering tests through high-volume manufacturing
• Design and execute process experiments to improve the process bottlenecks .
• Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process descriptions
• Maintain the FMEA and Control Plan framework at assigned area.
• Manage the product transfers from development phases into high- volume manufacturing run.
• Lead the process and equipment qualification activity at assigned area.
• Responsible to interface with inside sales and supplier representatives.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams and purchasing team to sourcing and localizing the product packaging materials.
• Collaborate with Global Engineering team, Manufacturing team and Quality team to ensure the new process or product meet the design standard and customer requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with the cross functional team.
• Exhibits a self-directed, proactive approach to problem solving.
• Evaluate new proposed equipment according to process standards.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.

Requirement

• Bachelors Degree in a Engineering discipline or Physical Science Field or the equivalent. Preferably: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering
• 3-5 years Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & IATF16949 standards, statistical methods and SPC tools.
• Robust Engineering/Design of Experiments, Six Sigma, and FMEA
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
• Knowledge of Engineering Techniques and Practices.
