Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes while supporting new product introduction (NPI), production efficiency, product quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing equipment design. This role integrates the responsibilities of Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, and Design Engineering to ensure products are manufacturable, reliable, and produced efficiently while meeting customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and work measurement.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production.

• Balance production lines to maximize productivity.

• Analyze manufacturing capacity and identify bottlenecks.

• Improve labor utilization and manufacturing efficiency.

• Optimize factory layout, workstation ergonomics, and material flow.

• Develop labor standards and production capacity planning.

• Support inventory reduction and continuous flow manufacturing.

• Develop mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent).

• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including:

• 5S

• Kaizen

• Value Stream Mapping

• SMED

• Waste Reduction

• Visual Management
