The Role

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help optimize how we produce sheet metal components and assemblies. You'll focus on process efficiency, production quality, and shop-floor problem-solving — working closely with fabrication, quality, and design teams to keep operations running smoothly and improve them over time.

What You'll Do

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, and powder coating operations

• Create and maintain work instructions, process routings, and standard operating procedures

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput

• Troubleshoot production issues on the shop floor and drive root-cause corrective actions

• Support tooling and fixture design/selection for new and existing products

• Work with design engineers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback during product development

• Monitor production quality and support compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards

• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and cost analysis to support production planning

• Coordinate with procurement and production planning on material flow and scheduling

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within sheet metal fabrication or OEM manufacturing

• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes: laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, finishing

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methods (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.)

• Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for process and tooling reference

• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g., 8D, fishbone)

• Comfortable working on the production floor and collaborating across departments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in safety-critical production environments
