- Introduction of new equipment, processes & manufacturing technologies
Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer investing in product development, manufacturing capability and continuous improvement. This is your chance to join a hands-on engineering team where you can influence how products are developed and manufactured.
Combining new product introduction, process development and manufacturing improvement, this role offers plenty of variety - from developing production methods and designing tooling through to solving manufacturing challenges and taking products from concept into production.
The Role
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for new and existing products, with a focus on metal fabrication and assembly.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and other stakeholders to bring new products from development into efficient, repeatable production.
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures and tooling to improve manufacturing capability, quality and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality.
- Support the introduction of new equipment, processes and manufacturing technologies.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process instructions, bills of materials and production routings.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive practical solutions across cutting, bending, pressing, welding and machining processes.
- Support products throughout their lifecycle, including ongoing improvements to established products manufactured across global operations.
About You
- A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering, or a relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, production or process engineering.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly processes, ideally including sheet metal, CNC machining, pressing, bending and welding.
- Experience developing manufacturing processes, introducing new products into production and improving existing operations.
- CAD capability, ideally SolidWorks, with experience designing jigs, fixtures or tooling.
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, BOMs, routings and ERP/MRP systems.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively with production teams and technical stakeholders.
- Able to commit to an onsite role.
The Opportunity
- Join an established Australian manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, and be part of an engineering team that values practical thinking, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of products and manufacturing challenges, see the direct results of your work on the factory floor, and continue developing your technical expertise in a supportive engineering environment.
- If you enjoy improving how things are made and taking products from concept to production, we’d like to hear from you.
