Manufacturing Engineer (ME)

Job Requirements

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) industry is preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Understanding of product design and design processes.
• Ability to identify and design process-related tools.
• Troubleshooting skills for daily production-related issues.
• Experience implementing new methods/processes for efficient production.
• Focus on cycle time reduction and process quality improvement.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS (Quality Management System).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and commission new production lines.
• Collaborate with customers during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
• Solve product and process quality issues.
• Drive process improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
• Manage day-to-day manufacturing engineering operations.
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for production lines.
• Evaluate and select engineering solutions for process and machinery issues.
• Set up new production processes, including control plans and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Troubleshoot quality, cost, and delivery-related issues for continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
• Interface with production teams on new process implementations and transfers.
• Oversee the introduction of new process equipment into production.
• Ensure compliance with ISO QMS requirements.
• Communicate with customers regarding product/process quality issues and yield improvement.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area in accordance with 5S principles.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
• Achieve and maintain KPIs as set by the company.
