Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Machining

Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining Zing Recruiting is partnering with a leading manufacturing company to find a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with CNC machining experience to join their team!

In this role, you will support and improve CNC machining operations, focusing on process optimization, tooling and fixture design, quality, and production efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on new product launches, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize CNC machining processes for new and existing products.
• Improve tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and equipment to increase productivity and quality.
• Support new product launches, equipment installations, and production readiness.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, scrap, rework, and production costs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support CNC programming improvements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain process documentation, including process flows, control plans, and work instructions.
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning, drilling, and multi-axis machining.
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture design, and process optimization.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• CAD/CAM software experience, such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, or Creo, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC is a plus.
