Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team! Responsibilities

• Design and detail jigs, fixtures and equipment used to support production
• Problem solving skills to troubleshoot and perform failure analyses on failed processes or products
• Establish and monitor equipment output in order to maintain process capability and quality
• Qualify, monitor and improve processes using statistical tolls
• Investigate alternative methods of manufacturing and the economic justification of new equipment as needed
• Create and modify bills of material and routings
• Certify all controlled documents with ECO's
• Assist manufacturing technicians in production supports and product development
• Understand and follow quality-related standards and documentation
• Determine proper disposition of non-conforming product as directed
• Must demonstrate commitment to workplace safety
• Assist in technical training of company personnel
• Must be able to work with the pressures of deadlines
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Other duties as directed
• Provide instruction on essential procedures to coworkers, as directed
• Maintain current industry knowledge of wire and connector technology
• Maintain current industry knowledge of polymers
• Product development including design and qualification of new processes through transfer to production
• Project management to meet customer timelines
• Creation and support of both design and process FMEAs
• Design and implementation of Lean Manufacturing cells
• Support and perform process validations including injection molding

Skills

• B.S. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical of Industrial Engineering
• Must have the following advanced math skills: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, metric conversions & linear measurement, etc.
• Must have a thorough understanding of various manufacturing processes: crimping, soldering, resistance and ultrasonic welding, injection molding, tool fabrication, etc.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Physics Engineering Principles
• Must have ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Must be able to operate computers used in manufacturing engineering (e.g. Auto CAD, Windows, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Must be able to communicate and work well with others as well as independently, exploring and sharing ways to improve efficiency
