Manufacturing Engineer/Planner

What you will do

Responsibilities

• Create drawings/designs based on production needs.
• Assist with developing lifting plans.
• Assist in continuous improvement of manufacturing methods.
• Generates and revises 2-D and 3-D schematics for mechanical equipment and components using AutoCad and Autodesk Inventor design software.
• Analyzes as-built fabrication drawings to determine if drawing revisions are warranted and completes all changes in a timely fashion.
• Follows and processes quality control procedures including CNs NCRs and ASME related tasks.
• Creates Bill of Material on design drawings and in company’s OMS data base.
• Coordinates with and assists various departments to facility timely cost-efficient and accurate design and fabrication of products.

What helps you succeed

Requirements

• Position requires proficient use of 2-D and 3-D computer design software.
• Technical degree certificate or a minimum of 1 year work experience in related field.
• Ability to communicate with management and co-workers as well as customers and vendors.
• Regular use of computer equipment and email for communication is required.
• Good knowledge of common office equipment such as computer calculator fax machine etc. is needed.
• Sitting for extended periods is common.
