What they need
Manufacturing Forklift Logistics Specialist
Join a high-volume beverage co-packing operation that fills a wide mix of aluminum can sizes for juices, energy drinks, teas, and carbonated sodas. You’ll be the go-to driver connecting warehouse flow to production lines—accurately moving materials both on the floor and in the ERP system to keep everything on schedule.
A day in the life
You clock in, inspect your sit-down forklift, and review material priorities in the ERP. Pallets are staged for the canning lines, trailers are backed in, and you sequence deliveries to departments based on job order priorities and material availability. Throughout the shift you:
- Load and unload trailers safely; maneuver with precision using levers and pedals to control the mast and forks.
- Requisition materials and set sequential delivery dates to keep production on time.
- Verify incoming and in-process materials against specifications before releasing them to production.
- Execute in-plant transfers to hit production schedules and minimize downtime.
- Calculate material needs to complete job orders and update the ERP for location accuracy.
- Maintain clear, complete records (manual or computerized) to document every move.
- Monitor and control material movement between departments to avoid bottlenecks.
Compensation & schedule
- Pay: Starting at $21/hr – higher rates for highly qualified candidates.
- Differential: +$2/hr for certain overnight hours.
- Shifts: Multiple options may be available (Day, Swing, Nights, compressed rotating). Tell us your preference and call for current openings.
What you’ll bring
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year in a manufacturing setting.
- 3+ years of recent sit-down forklift operation, including at least one recent role where ~90% of each shift was on a sit-down truck.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Forklift certification/license preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English for workplace safety.
- Comfort with basic math and computer use (ERP entries and lookups).
- Stable work history (typically 2–3 years per role) with strong references and at least two professional references from recent employers.
Industry & equipment
- Proficiency in food and beverage manufacturing is a plus.
- Current forklift license strongly preferred.
- Primary equipment: sit-down forklifts.
