ErgoQuest manufactures custom ergonomic workstations designed to help people work more comfortably, including individuals with chronic pain and specialized workstation needs. We are a small, growing manufacturing company expanding our production capacity to meet increasing customer demand.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Manufacturing Grinder to prepare welded metal components for finishing and assembly. This person will work closely with our welding and finishing team to ensure metal parts meet quality standards and are ready for the next stage of production.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, producing quality work, and contributing to a small team's success. Some previous grinding experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Grind and smooth welds on metal components using hand-held grinders and other appropriate tools.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, spatter, and other imperfections from fabricated parts.
• Prepare metal surfaces for painting, coating, finishing, or assembly.
• Inspect finished parts for visible defects and consistency with company quality standards.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and direction from the production team.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation.
• Use tools and equipment properly and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Follow required personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with material handling, part organization, and other production tasks as needed.
• Communicate with welders and finishing technicians to keep work moving efficiently through production.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn safe grinding techniques and follow established procedures.
• Ability to use hand tools and learn manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to lift and move materials within the established physical requirements of the position, with assistance or mechanical aids when needed.
• Some previous experience with metal grinding, fabrication, manufacturing, or power tools is required.
