Build the Future with TRT – Join Our Industry-Leading Team
TRT is a trusted name in heavy transport and lifting solutions across New Zealand and Australia, with a proud legacy dating back to 1967.
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Inventory Coordinator to join our growing team in Te Rapa, Hamilton. This a full-time position working with some of New Zealand and Australia's most impressive heavy transport equipment, built from scratch right here in the Waikato.
As a key member of the TRT team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of parts throughout the production lifecycle, from the concept phase through to product delivery. This hybrid position will involve a mix of inventory management, procurement and process optimisation. Don’t get stuck behind a desk all day – this role strikes a great balance between hands-on warehousing/inventory management work, and desk-based project planning and purchasing. Some tasks that will make up your day-to-day:
- Working alongside the design engineers to confirm which parts are required for new builds
- Ensuring these parts are sourced in time to be available for the team to assemble
- Managing incoming deliveries including checking off parts that have arrived, receiving them into our ERP software, and locating them either in the warehouse or direct to the point of use
- Keep up to date with the manufacturing schedule to ensure target dates are being met
- Completing stocktakes to ensure that the system figures align with physical inventory
- Managing the supply of consumables to keep the manufacturing team humming
- Placing general orders as directed by the Procurement Team Lead, in line with company procurement guidelines
- Booking international freight, both direct to customers and to our Australian branch
- Providing parts support & expertise for existing TRT gear in the field
If you take pride in producing high-quality work and want to grow your career with a company that invests in your development, we’d love to hear from you.
