Manufacturing Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Manufacturing Operator to join our team at Kalsec Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Senoko North region. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring that our manufacturing processes run efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, monitoring production quality, and contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle raw material, weighing balances and other manufacturing equipment, including basic warehouse handling equipment such as manual pallet truck as part of the manufacturing activities requirement.
• Operate, monitor, and control batch manufacturing from DCS/SCADA/other systems.
• Manufacture finished goods in accordance with specific instructions, process steps and standard operation procedures (SOP) in an efficient, precise, and accurate manner.
• Perform assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products (FPQ) under limited supervision and instruction and sampling of finished goods.
• Operate forklift for material handling of raw materials.
• Perform to meet daily production target and capable of responding to overtime when necessary.
• Act as an oversight for product quality on both raw materials and finished goods and identify any issues that may affect production.
• Perform packing and palletising of finished goods, both manually and through use of machineries.
• Participate as a core participant in Productivity Improvement Team and practice productivity/process improvement methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
• Perform cross-functional production activities when tasked
• Liaison with Formulations Planner and Manufacturing Manager with respect to production schedules.
• Perform periodic process, utility, and facility equipment maintenance & inspection. Safety equipment inspection.
• Participate in ESH programs and activities.

Equipment Operation:

• Knowledge of the work being performed in Production with Batch Operations.
• Ability to Operate pumps, mixers, filling machines, pipe connections, Hot water system.
• Usage of material movement devices like Stackers/Walkie, Hand Pallet trucks.
• Familiar with mixers, pumps, weighing scales, material movement devices, utilities.
• Safety devices, Fire fighting equipment like Fire hose, Extinguisher.
• Usage of Personnel Protective Equipment like Respirators, suits, etc.,
• Computer, Scanners etc.

Physical Demands:

• Able to access all areas of our manufacturing processes.

• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as there is exposure to various chemicals and compounds including fumes and smells.

• Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching and twisting.

• Should be tolerant to various smells and spice.
