Manufacturing Quality Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing & Field Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations, drive quality improvements, and investigate customer concerns. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives on the manufacturing floor, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently work with both internal teams and customers.

Description

• Serve as a quality leader within the manufacturing facility, taking ownership of quality initiatives and issue resolution.
• Partner closely with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Interface with customers regarding quality-related issues and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Support quality systems, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Act as a hands-on resource on the manufacturing floor, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
• Work independently to identify risks, implement solutions, and improve operational performance.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, quality excellence, and continuous improvement.

Profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering and/or quality engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently investigate problems and implement effective solutions.
• Experience interacting directly with customers or managing customer concerns.
• Comfortable navigating challenging customer conversations and resolving issues professionally.
• Knowledge of quality processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production, operations, and leadership teams.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree preferred but not required. Relevant manufacturing experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Open to candidates from most manufacturing industries (excluding food manufacturing).
