Manufacturing Quality Engineer – (Wellgrow Industrial)

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for in‑process quality assurance, excursion control, and defect prevention within semiconductor backend operations, specifically singulation, marking, pick & place, and packing. The role focuses on process stability, abnormality response, maverick lot management, and disposition decisions, working closely with Manufacturing, Process, and Equipment teams on the production floor.

Responsibilities:

1. In‑Process Quality Control

2. Process Monitoring & Variation Control

3. Defect Mechanism Ownership

4. Maverick Lot Handling & Management

5. MRB (Material Review Board) Responsibility – Manufacturing Scope

6. Structured Problem Solving & Corrective Actions

7. Process Robustness & Error‑Proofing

8. Change Evaluation & Risk Assessment (Manufacturing Only)

9. Shop‑Floor Engagement

• To analyze and verify for the non-conformity product or process.

• Leader of the problem-solving team/product disposition in term of quality related to ensure that the interim/corrective/permanent action or improvement plan will be in plan.

• Initiative and validate for corrective and preventive actions.

• Apply 3x5Why, IS-IS not, and write 3D/4D/8D report.

• Develop better control procedure/quality monitoring for Quality process control in production line to ensure good process control.

• Take responsibility on QC equipment/procedure in term of maintenance, MSA & GR&R, and trouble shooting.

• Audit/monitor action effectiveness to ensure that compliance and no recurrence case.

• Quality improvement project and driver to enhance process control and reduce to quality feedback/low yield.

• Support customer audit in case of required by customer or Audit team.

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of backend process‑to‑defect relationships

• Proficient in:

  • SPC and control charts
  • Excursion management and containment
  • MRB assessment and decision making

• Comfortable making risk‑based manufacturing quality decisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Science or Engineering related field

• 3 years up Team management experience is required.

• Quality function, Computer skill, English skill

• Good command of English in both speaking and writing

• Positive attitude and presentation skill in both Thai and English
