Manufacturing Robotics Engineer (Mexico)

Overview Rex.zone is hiring a remote, full-time Manufacturing Robotics Engineer focused on Mexico-based manufacturing programs. You will design, program, integrate, and support industrial robot cells and controls systems that improve throughput, uptime, quality, and safety.

What You Will Do

• Design, program, and support industrial robot cells (welding, material handling, palletizing, machine tending, dispensing, inspection)
• Develop robot programs for common platforms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, UR) and integrate EOAT, sensors, and safety circuits
• Implement PLC/robot handshakes, interlocks, and fieldbus networking (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
• Build offline programming/simulation workflows to reduce downtime and accelerate deployment
• Diagnose cycle-time losses, defects, and intermittent faults using logs and root-cause analysis
• Create maintainable documentation: I/O maps, sequences of operation, commissioning/validation checklists, safety documentation

Required Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience delivering robotics or industrial automation in manufacturing
• Ability to debug robot programs, PLC logic, and system-level I/O
• Strong controls fundamentals, electrical troubleshooting, and industrial networking
• Familiarity with safety concepts (risk assessment, interlocks, safety PLCs, STO)
• Ability to read electrical schematics and produce clear technical documentation

Preferred

• Vision systems integration (2D/3D), calibration, and lighting
• SCADA/MES data flows and monitoring of downtime, alarms, and counts
• ROS exposure and advanced motion planning in industrial contexts

Compensation $30–$50 per hour (base salary), depending on experience.
