Job Summary The Manufacturing Sales/Engineer at Stella-Jones will play a critical role for the Sales and Engineering departments in Bellingham, WA. Responsibilities include creating production drawings using AutoCAD, managing bills of material, project quoting and problem solving with customers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills, proficiency in design software, and the ability to maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Shift: Monday -Friday

Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm

Your Responsibilities

• proficient at AutoCad software (creating production drawings for everything manufactured in Bellingham, WA). Document and Data Management.
• creates bills of material (SAP), follows SOP’s and helps create them.
• creates presentations (Power Point)
• Support of Sales and Engineer departments in Bellingham
• Sales: quoting of distribution crossarms and transmission framing components, contacting customers to discuss drawings, direct sales conversations with electric utilities.
• Engineering: Supports Engineering Dept. with distribution and transmission quotes at Manufacturing Engineering Lead’s direction, proficient at SAP to be able support quote preparation. Ability to quote smaller transmission quotes from start to finish with manager review of final quote before returning to customer.
• Technical Support: to customers and other salespeople throughout the Stella-Jones Utility Products group.

Qualifications/Core Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Structural, Electrical).
• Working knowledge of AutoCad, PLS, and/or SpidaCalc software systems helpful.
• Technical Aptitude, to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
• Self-motivated individual with high level of verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cohesively in a team setting.
• Time and resource management skills of critical importance
• Readily available for limited travel schedule to industry events, client visits, and tradeshows
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Autocad);
• Initial support role to Sales and Engineering departments, and as scope deepens there is development for growth.
• Ability to maintain Standard Operating Procedure for manufacturing operations at the direction of Manufacturing Lead Engineer and Sales Director.
• Assisting Manufacturing Lead Engineer and Sales Director in quoting projects.
• Attention to Detail a must. Communication Skills. Problem Solving Skills.
• Full Time, Job location is in Bellingham Office daily 7am – 4pm (M-F), reports to Engineering Lead and Director of Crossarm Sales
• Preferred SAP familiarity
