Manufacturing Support Technician

MISSION

The Manufacturing Support Technician provides essential administrative, technical, and quality support across all upstream and downstream manufacturing processes. This role ensures strict compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory standards by prioritizing tasks, maintaining flawless documentation, and managing material tracking. Operating in a highly cross-functional capacity, this individual collaborates closely with GMP Synthesis, GMP Purification, and the Engineering department to keep production running efficiently and ensure all equipment remains in a validated, compliant state. Reports jointly to the Senior Manager, Engineering, ICT and Facilities, and the GMP Downstream Lead.

General Responsibilities

• Deliver continuous administrative and technical support for both upstream and downstream GMP manufacturing operations.
• Ensure all activities adhere to applicable compliance requirements and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Partner closely with GMP Synthesis, GMP Purification, and Engineering teams to align on daily production priorities and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Manage material tracking, inventory reconciliation, and material staging to prevent production delays.
• Monitor and maintain GMP equipment in a compliant state, coordinating with and assisting maintenance and validation teams to ensure timely calibrations and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments, equipment, and general lab areas as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of results, which may include collecting, extracting, and entering data via both electronic and paper files (i.e., notebooks, logbooks, batch records, etc.).
• Assist in method development practices.
• Train and assist team members. Create a knowledge-sharing environment so everyone on the team learns and grows with the Company.
• Participate actively in joint projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Adhere to strict compliance with written procedures applicable to the job function.
• Create, review, and update procedures related to the job function.
• Provide support and assistance as necessary on tasks and projects as directed by the manager.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the QMS through SOP revision activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, organic chemistry, or biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to write technical SOPs and technical reports.
• Work experience in a biotech/life science industry environment preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, data analysis, ChemDraw, and other relevant applications).

Compensation: This is a temporary-to-hire, hourly, non-exempt position paying $30–$35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, with potential conversion to regular full-time employment based on satisfactory performance and business needs

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
