Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer (MSSQL, Visual Studio, C#/C)

Job Overview

• We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer to develop, enhance, and support business-critical manufacturing applications in a Microsoft technology environment.
• Location: Depot Close, Singapore
• Need travel to Johor Malaysia

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing applications using C/C# and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Design and support Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and integrations.
• Support Windows-based systems, application deployments, hardware/software configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing applications and production-related issues.
• Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, system upgrades, and performance improvements.
• Support legacy VB/VB6 to C#/.NET modernisation projects.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between applications, databases, manufacturing equipment, and enterprise systems.
• Support new manufacturing line implementations, testing, commissioning, and system deployment.
• Work with manufacturing users, IT/engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development and operational standards.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

• Relevant experience in software development, manufacturing systems, or technical support.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • C/C# and Visual Studio
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Windows

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, database, and application development skills.

• Experience with VB/VB6 and migration to C#/.NET is an advantage.

• Manufacturing/industrial systems experience is highly desirable.

• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to Malaysia for project/support activities.
