Manufacturing Technician, Balloons

JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Technician supports the manufacture, development, and continuous improvement of balloon components used in medical device products. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations, the role supports production, process development, troubleshooting, and NPI activities while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operate, and maintain balloon manufacturing equipment.
• Support process development, validation, and engineering activities.
• Analyze and trend manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support corrective actions.
• Perform in-process and destructive testing to verify product compliance to specifications.
• Complete manufacturing and engineering documentation accurately and on time.
• Train operators on approved manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, productivity, and efficiency.
• Participate in change control, non-conformance, and CAPA activities.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and quality system requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Actively participate in team meetings and cross-functional projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with medical device, balloon manufacturing.
• Experience in medical devices or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience following documented procedures and completing manufacturing records.

Preferred Requirements

• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in medical device balloon development activities.
• Experience supporting engineering, process development, or NPI activities.

• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in documenting and analyzing manufacturing data.
• Ability to work in a controlled manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes required to look at a computer screen, reports and other documents. Employees are regularly required to use their hands on a computer keyboard or a calculator. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and interact with other employees. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
