Manufacturing Technician

About the role

We are looking for a technician who genuinely enjoys solving machine problems, learning how equipment works and finding ways to improve production reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, adjustment and maintenance of production equipment and manual/semi-automatic jigs. This is a hands-on technical position. Candidates must be comfortable diagnosing problems independently and working directly on production equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manual and semi-automatic production machines and equipment.
• Perform machine setup, adjustment and model/changeover activities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and sensor-related problems.
• Adjust and troubleshoot production jigs to ensure correct product dimensions and quality.
• Investigate machine-related quality problems and identify the root cause.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Verify machine settings and first-piece output after setup or adjustment.
• Minimize machine downtime and respond quickly to production breakdowns.
• Read and understand basic electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

About you

• Certificate / Diploma / SKM in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production equipment or machine maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to use basic measuring and diagnostic tools such as multimeter, vernier caliper and other hand tools.
• Experience with sensors, pneumatic components, motors and basic electrical systems will be an advantage.
• Able to perform machine setup and adjustment independently.
• Able to work under production pressure and respond to machine breakdowns promptly.
• Willing to learn and handle different machines and production processes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
