Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing tissue processing activities in compliance with regulatory standards and protocols, ensuring the highest quality and safety in all procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare human tissue sections for surgical implantation following established protocols and specifications.
• Utilize specialized techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to evaluate, cut, shape, grind, and package tissue products.
• Accurately complete required documentation and perform data entry as needed.
• Support laboratory operations by setting up and breaking down rooms, handling donor tissue using aseptic techniques, and maintaining sterile fields.
• Maintain daily inventory of supplies and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste according to safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies through ongoing training and adherence to ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, aseptic/sterile environments, tissue processing, or operating room settings preferred.
• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers, and operation of electrical and pneumatic cutting, drilling, and routing equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
